Breakfast at the Barnstormer

My kiddos at the airport: Cecily is flying and Everett is hiding.
Want to try a different location for a delicious breakfast?  Head out east on 8th street to the Greeley Weld County Airport and get the "Best and Biggest Pancakes in town"!  The Main Terminal at the airport has a great little diner called the Barnstormer Restaurant.

Signage on 8th Street as well as on the airport grounds make the Barnstormer easy to find.
Inside you will find the walls covered with vintage photographs of pilots and their aircrafts, planes of all types in flight, aircraft carriers, submarines and more.  Hanging from the ceiling are many different model airplanes.  On a Saturday morning the place is packed with pilots who flew in for breakfast, or local folks who came for the pancakes and to watch the planes come and go.

"Best and Biggest pancakes in town!"
As you can see above, the pancakes are as big as a plate and nearly an inch thick!  They also have french toast, bacon, eggs, sausage, hash browns, breakfast sandwiches, omelets...well, something for everyone, and we haven't even tried their lunch menu!

Wide variety of aircraft visible from the restaurant.
As you enjoy your delicious hot breakfast you can watch the planes landing, taxiing and taking off right outside the window.

My little astronaut and his sister.
After breakfast head up to the observation deck and see up close the 1940s vintage plane hanging in the terminal and watch the planes some more, from a better vantage point.  There is a beautiful view of the mountains as well!

Just another hidden treasure out in east Greeley that I wanted to share.  For something family friendly and affordable, go get ya some pancakes and enjoy the wonders of aviation!

No wind, clear day.  A great day for flying, as my dad would say!
